Rooted, not retro
We honor the silhouettes and craft of the West without turning them into costume. Every piece is cut for a real life, in real weather.
CARRANZA WESTERN WEAR LLC began with a trunk of hand-me-downs and a stubborn belief: heritage western wear shouldn’t be saved for special occasions. It should be lived in.
Our first collection started with a suede jacket that belonged to a grandmother we never met. It was too worn to sell and too beautiful to put away. We spent a year learning how it was made — the fringe, the yoke, the way the leather had softened into the shape of her shoulders.
That jacket became our north star: clothing with memory in it. We build every piece around the same questions. Will it feel better in five years? Can it be repaired? Does it make the woman wearing it stand a little taller?
Today, CARRANZA WESTERN WEAR LLC is a women-led house working with a small circle of leather workers, pattern makers, and finishers. We keep our runs short, our materials honest, and our door open.
“The West is a place, but it’s also a way of carrying yourself. We make clothes for the latter.”
— The Carranza family
We honor the silhouettes and craft of the West without turning them into costume. Every piece is cut for a real life, in real weather.
Small runs mean fewer pieces, better materials, and time to get the details right. We’d rather make one thing well than ten things quickly.
Questions about fit, leather care, or a repair? Write to us. A person in Lehigh Acres will answer — not a bot, not a script.
We’re still a small house. These are the mile markers that matter to us.
The first collection is cut in a spare room in Lehigh Acres — twelve pieces, made slowly.
We move into a working studio, partner with local leather finishers, and learn to repair what we sell.
Our first market weekend. We meet the women who wear our pieces — and start designing with them in mind.
The collection comes online, shipped from our porch to yours. Same small runs. Same long view.
We don’t chase the calendar. Samples are fitted, worn, and refitted before a piece goes into production. Leather is chosen for grain and hand, not uniformity.
Come by the Lehigh Acres studio for a fitting, a repair, or a good conversation about denim. We’d love to meet you.
